What we collect when you enquire or book a call with us, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

TradesPro Digital is a marketing partner for trades and home improvement businesses in the United Kingdom. When you send us an enquiry or book a discovery call through this website, we are the data controller for the information you give us — we decide why it is collected and what happens to it.

This policy covers this website and the enquiry and booking process that runs on it. It does not cover the websites we build and run for our clients; those are controlled by the client whose name is on them.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you complete the discovery call form, we collect the answers you type into it:

  • your business name, trade and the area you work in
  • what you would like help with, and how you currently generate leads
  • the approximate monthly marketing budget you select
  • your name, email address and phone number
  • how you would prefer us to contact you

If you go on to book an appointment, the booking calendar collects the details needed to make that appointment and to send you a confirmation and reminders.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. These are used to keep the site available and secure, and to investigate faults and abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

This website does not currently run analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of its own. See our Cookie Policy for the detail.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your information. Ours are:

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange a call — because you have asked us to, and because it is in our legitimate interests to answer people who approach us about our services.
  • To understand whether we are a sensible fit before the call — legitimate interests. This is why we ask about your trade, your area and your budget: so the conversation starts usefully rather than wasting your time.
  • To keep the website running, secure and free of abuse — legitimate interests.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations if you become a client — legal obligation.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to other businesses for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:

  • HighLevel (GoHighLevel) — the customer relationship management and appointment booking platform that holds our enquiries and runs the booking calendar embedded on this site.
  • Vercel — the hosting platform that serves this website and keeps the server logs described above.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site. Your browser requests the font files from Google when the page loads.

Some of these providers are based outside the United Kingdom. Where information is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become clients are kept for no longer than two years from your last contact with us, then deleted. If you become a client, we keep your records for the length of our working relationship and for six years afterwards, which is the period we need for tax and accounting purposes. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then discarded.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • have inaccurate information corrected
  • ask us to delete information we no longer have a good reason to keep
  • ask us to restrict how we use it while a concern is resolved
  • object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests
  • ask for the information you gave us in a portable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent

To exercise any of these, contact us using the enquiry form on ourhomepage and tell us what you would like us to do. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.

Keeping it safe

This website is served over HTTPS only, with a content security policy and related protections in place. Our CRM is access-controlled, and only people who need to see an enquiry in order to act on it have access to it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously and will tell you and the regulator about a breach where the law requires it.

Children

This website is aimed at business owners. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.ukor on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do with information changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
